A credit card statement converter reads a credit card statement PDF and outputs the transaction data as a spreadsheet (Excel/CSV) — so you can filter, total, categorize and reconcile instead of retyping. This site's converter is free, unlimited, and runs 100% in your browser.
What our converter actually does
- Parses 164 statement layouts from 115 issuers across 15 regions (Amex, Chase, Citi, Capital One, HDFC, ICICI, SBI, Axis and more — full list).
- Extracts every transaction: date, description, debit and credit — including payments, fees, interest, refunds and rewards rows.
- Multi-page PDFs — page count doesn't matter.
- Duplicate detection — identical rows are flagged.
- Exports Excel (XLSX) and CSV with a Summary sheet (total debits, total credits, count).
- Batch mode — convert several statements at once.
How we differ from typical AI converters
| Feature | This tool (client-side) | Typical AI converters |
|---|---|---|
| File handling | Never leaves your device | Uploaded to their server |
| Signup | None | Often required |
| Free limit | Unlimited | 2–10 conversions/month, then paid |
| Extraction method | Deterministic rules on 164 layouts | AI vision model (can hallucinate) |
| Output columns | Date, Description, Debit, Credit | Often adds guessed categories |
| Works offline | Yes (after page load) | No (server required) |
| Price | $0 forever | $0 + $15–50/month |
What you get in the Excel file
Exactly four columns — Date, Description, Debit, Credit — plus a Summary sheet. No account numbers, no balances, no personal data. Dates are normalized (e.g. 03-APR-25 → a real date), amounts are numbers (so SUM works), and credit (payments/refunds) is separated from debits.
